The 2024 China International Children's Film Festival will be held from October 20th to 26th in Chengdu and Jinan. On October 20th, Russian filmmakers will present the film Timir at Wind International Cinema in Chengdu. In addition to the screening, they will participate in a post-screening Q&A session alongside several international children's filmmakers, engaging with the Chinese audience.
This film tells the story of a boy named Timir who loses his closest loved one—his mother. Child welfare services place him with his biological father, but from the very first day, Timir struggles to build a relationship with him. Furthermore, he faces bullying at school. One day, while walking home through a forest, Timir meets a mysterious person, setting off a journey of spiritual redemption. The film won the "Audience Award" at the 11th Transbaikal International Film Festival.
