On August 26, the preparatory meeting for the 17th China International Children's Film Festival and the inauguration ceremony of the China Film Foundation's Special Fund for Children's Films was grandly held in Chenghua District, Chengdu. The event was co-hosted by the China Children's Film Association, China National Children's Center, China Film Foundation, the Film and Television Channel Production Center of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Chengdu Culture & Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd.
It is reported that the Special Fund for the Development of Children's Films is administered by the China Film Foundation. Ms. Xie Yu, a philanthropist, made the inaugural donation and played a vital role in the establishment of the fund. This fund will provide solid financial support for the upcoming China International Children's Film Festival to be held in Chengdu this October and will continue to support children's film production in the future, promoting the robust development of China’s children’s film and television industry.
At the ceremony, ten distinguished guests jointly unveiled the Special Fund for Children's Films, including:
Hu Zhenmin, Executive Deputy Director of the China Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation; Luo Qiang, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial People's Congress; Yuan Lixin, Director of the China National Children's Center; Zhao Zekun, Secretary of the Fourth Party Committee of Industry Associations under the Party Committee of Central and State Organs; Huang Jun, President of the China Children's Film Association; Min Nan, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee; Zhang Haitong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Chengdu Culture & Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd.; Ma Yawei, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chenghua District Committee and Head of the Publicity Department; Tian Ying, Party Secretary and President of the Jinan Women's Federation.

According to the organizers, the 17th China International Children's Film Festival will officially open in Chengdu this October, with a branch venue in Jinan. The festival will feature a variety of exciting events, including the global short film collection themed “My Hometown and Me,” a Future Film Technology Experience Exhibition, Children’s Film Forum, and the “Light & Vision Alliance: Creating the Future Together” International Dialogue on Children's Films, offering children around the world a broader cultural and cinematic experience.
