The International Recommendation Committee of the 18th China International Children’s Film Festival is composed of eight distinguished experts in the fields of children’s cinema and education from Romania, Russia, Tunisia, Spain, Germany, Greece, and China. The committee is chaired by Zhu Xinyun, a renowned Chinese performing artist, film planner, and director.
From October 12 to 24, 2025, the committee members will watch films together with young audiences, cast their votes for the recommended films of this year’s festival, and announce the results at the Closing Ceremony.
Zhu Xinyun
Graduated from the Drama Department of the PLA Academy of Art, Zhu Xinyun is a mainland Chinese actor and director, and former head of the Actor Troupe of the August 1st Film Studio of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
He played the role of Pan Dongzi in the classic children's film Sparkling Red Star. His other acting works include: Lightning Action (1987), The Black-faced Son-in-law (1988), Jing Tao Hai Lang (2003), The Eighth Route Army (2005), The Horse Caravan Comes with Bells Ringing in the Mountains (2010), Sky Eye Storm (2019), A Myriad of Lights (2023), Years in the Northwest (2024), and One Heart Under Heaven (2024).
In 2011, he planned the feature film Flying to the Sky; in 2013, he wrote, directed and starred in the children's film Sunny Faces; in 2020, he directed the feature film I Am a Veteran.
Ju Ping
Host of the Sports, Youth and Children's Programming Center of China Media Group (CMG), Head of the Host Group of the Children's Channel Programming Department, and Producer of the program Big Hands Holding Small Hands.
She has hosted programs such as Tangram, Big Pinwheel, and Big Hands Holding Small Hands since 1985. Over the past 40 years, her image as "Sister Juping" has been deeply rooted in the public's mind, accompanying the growth of several generations of children. She has won numerous awards, including the "Pioneer Award" for hosts, 3 "Golden Microphone Awards", and has been named one of CMG (CCTV) Top 10 Hosts 6 times.
She is also recognized as an Advanced Individual in the National Poverty Alleviation Campaign, an expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, a National March 8th Red Banner Holder, a Most Beautiful Volunteer, and a Leading Talent in China's Radio, Television and Online Audio-Visual Industry.
