Ms.Yu Lan was born in Liaoning Province in 1921 and studied in Chinese People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political College and Women's University afer she arrived in Yan’an City in 1938. She made her first leap onto the silver screen in 1949, as the leading actress, she has acted in Warrior In White, Dragon Beard Ditch, A Revolutionary Family, Living Forever in Burning Flames and shaped many brilliant image of the outstanding Chinese women and revolutionary hero. Ms.Yu Lan found China Children’s Film Studio in 1981 which produced 104 films and 35 Tv plays during 1981-2005, 53 of them got the 176 awards from home and abroad.She initiated China Children’s Film Association in 1984 and motivated the 1st China International Children’s Film Festival in June 1, 1989.In 1999, Yu Lan, as the honorary chairman of China Children’s Film Association, committed herself to＂film’s educating＂project.
